Fair at Robertson

Hi everyone

I thought Berry was my last fair for this year but I am now also going to be at the Robertson Antiques and Collectibles Fair in the Southern Highlands on the 19 and 20 November.  It is being held in the School of Arts, Robertson from 9am on the 19th and 10am on the 20th.

As many of you know I have been travelling overseas for the last six weeks and have gathered together some beautiful and interesting pieces. I have bought Birmingham silver, sterling silver and glass perfume bottles, Waterford and Stuart crystal glasses, Irish linen and Royal Doulton Christmas figurines and porcelain. There is sure to be something that will catch your eye and you must have.

Just think Christmas will only be about four weeks away after the fair and you could do all your Christmas shopping in one place. I will have pieces from very inexpensive to a little more expensive depending on your budget there will be something for everyone.

Berry Antique Fair

imageMy next fair is being held in Berry on the beautiful south coast of NSW in the School of Arts Hall, Alexandria Street, Berry. The dates are Saturday 17 September  (10am to 5.00pm and Sunday 18 September, 10am to 4.00pm). Why not come for the day or the weekend? There is so much to do in Berry. There is a great vibe in the village during the weekends.

I have new stock that will be on display including green depression glass butter keepers (so hard to find these days! ), sparkling crystal wine glasses, crystal decanters and crystal water jugs, antique trios from all the famous makers, Royal Doulton figurines including the rare Sunday Morning, mother of pearl handled knives and excellent quality Art Deco silver  coffee  and tea sets?

I have exquisite linen tablecloths that I will be bringing as well. Cloths like these should take pride of place on beautifully set dining tables?

Over the next few weeks I will post some of the new pieces I will be taking to Berry.

Royal Doulton

Look what has arrived for the Springwood Antique Fair I will be attending next weekend! My items from England are here and this is just a few of the beautiful things that will be on display at the fair.

Isn’t she lovely? She is a Royal Doulton figurine and is named “Happy Birthday”. Her dress is beautiful with insets of lace and is off -the-shoulder. She has a matching bow in her hair and is holding her birthday bouquet of flowers. She would make a wonderful gift or keep it for yourself. I just love her!

This is another of my newly arrived Royal Doulton figurines. This one is called ‘Bedtime Story’. A mother is reading to her children. This would make a beautiful gift from a husband to his wife, a mother to her daughter or son , or grandmother to her daughter or grandchildren.  These are the gifts that people remember.

I also have some newly arrived Beswick dogs including the “Character” dogs. I’ll post these in the next few days for you to have a look at.

Springwood Antique Fair

We had a great fair last weekend at Kembla Grange. There were many visitors and we met some lovely people who were very interested in our beautiful antiques we had for sale. All of my new silver items were sold at the fair. A beautiful etched glass and silver claret jug was bought by a gentleman who fell in love with it, a crystal perfume bottle with silver mounts was the delight of a lady who bought it and a 1930’s silver plated tea set complete with tray went home with a very happy man. Shelley cups and saucers were very popular as well as antique glassware.

Oue next fair is the Springwood Fair held at Winmalee High School during the first weekend in June. I am expecting a shipment from England and I’ll post some of these new items once they have arrived. For the dog lovers out there a large selection of Beswick dogs is among the new pieces. Maybe there will be something among them you would like.

i will also be taking some of my exquisite antique linen and lace items, including linen tablecloths, an Edwardian Christening gown and some Italian cloths all handmade and very hard to come by.

Remember if there is anything you would like me to bring along to the fair for you to have a look at just email me on mka@netspace.net.au

Until next time

Antique Fair at Kembla Grange

I’m getting ready for the Kembla Grange Antique Fair near Wollongong, NSW on the 20-22 May. Some new arrivals of antiques have just arrived from England. Would you like to start a collection? I have just acquired the ‘Kate Greenaway’ collection which consists of Victorian figurines depicted in the childhood stories written by Kate Greenaway. They are charming, all have lovely names and are dressed in Victorian clothes. These are a delight and would certainly be lovely to collect.
Some Royal Doulton dogs, made in England, have also arrived and I will be bringing along quite a variety to the fair. Come and see if I have the perfect one for you.
I  also have a wonderful collection of crystal including decanters, vases, bowls and glasses There might be something here you are looking for. They include Stuart and Waterford crystal as well as other many fine pieces with beautiful rings to the crystal. They are all very reasonably priced.
Some antique linen cloths have also been acquired lately in my searches for all things beautiful. If you love fine linen cloths, fine lace and/or fine embroidery then there will be surely something in my collection that you will want for your own, to keep and treasure. Many of my linens I have purchased in both Italy and England. If you love quality linen then come by and view the beautiful handwork in these antique pieces.
If there is anything in particular drop me a line and I can photograph it and/or bring it to the fair just for you.
Please email me with any requests at mka@netspace.net.au
