Lily on the right, is contemporary with a pink dress and and short hair style. She holds her hat behind her back. Both of these figurines are for sale. 1. Hi! I was wondering how you date the porcelain and pottery that you find? I play/work with antique clocks and find it difficult to find out who the maker is! 🙂 wondering if you have some helpful tips!

    1. Hello
Fine china is a little easier to track makers and time of manufacture as they usually have a maker’s mark and symbols on the base of the piece. The marks or backstamps as they are called are catalogued in books etc and these make an easy reference point for dating. I don’t have any knowledge about clocks at all. I will speak with some of the dealers at the next antique fair I attend who might be able to help with your enquiry.
      Regards,
      Maggie
